Passing Down enters its third year of the Elite 7-on-7 Challenge. The “Six at Six” is the first of three regional tournaments that culminate in the Best of the West tournament.
The “Six at Six” gives the first six teams that register an easier road to the finals as the top three teams receive invites. Going forward, participants only have a 33% chance of receiving an invite to the BOTW.
Saturday’s event will feature Team Pride N Skills with a roster featuring running back Kendall Sparks out of Carson, quarterback Louie Soto out of Bishop Montgomery, and safety Patrick Enewally out of Gahr.
Team SLO, out of the Central Coast, counters with quarterback Tyler Baty out of Mission Prep. But the player to watch is San Luis Obispo linebacker Jack Ferguson.
Team SavvOut is led by linebacker/running back Triton Douglas, who sports offers from Arizona and Missouri.
Mission Oaks quarterback Corbin Quinonez leads Team 559 Crew. TU Squad and Team Big Picture round out the field.
Passing Down held its inaugural Elite 7-on-7 passing tournament in July 2012 with six teams that featured some of the top prospects in the Golden State.
In 2011, Passing Down is took its show on the road with four regional Elite 7-on-7 passing tournaments. The top teams in each regional received invites to compete in the first annual Passing Down Best of the West Elite 7-on-7 tournament.
Each team may include up to 20 players. This is an invite only event. If you have not received an invitation, and you feel you are a worthy participant in future events please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Retired six-year NFL veteran Cameron Worrell and business partner Elbert Lee created Passing Down, LLC in 2007. Since, Passing Down has held the premiere football camp in Central California every July.
