Celebration & the Inaugural Unsung Heroes Awards "An Evening of
Champions"
The 2013 Unsung Heroes Award features an incredible year of fine
student athletes, and other trail blazing students from right here
in Los Angeles Each of these young person are well equipped for
success academically. This is the first year The Inner City Youth
Foundation We have recognize and honor the premier African American
Scholar Athletes in the State of California .
Finalists are chosen based on their unweighted grade point average,
their personal statements, extracurricular activities, community
service, and letters of recommendation.

California. About the Inner City Youth Foundation
The mission of the Inner City Youth Foundation and the L.A. Inner
City Mass Choir is to promote safe, healthy, and non-violent
environments by uniting African American and Hispanic at-risk youth
residing in socially deprived areas of Los Angeles County. The
Inner City Youth Foundation supports and provides programs and
services in the Arts, Music, Entertainment, Self-Esteem, Character
Building, Community Service, and Mentoring, The foundation also
provides a Literacy Education Program through The Essence K. Coprich
Library located at 116th Street School in Los Angeles.
