Bump for UK signee Lee in new rankings
"I really liked what I saw from Marcus in the two game tapes I watched," said FOX Sports/Scout national basketball analyst Evan Daniels. "He's a very good run-and-jump athlete who will impact the game at the next level with his defense and ability to run the floor.
"Going forward he can still improve his offense and add a go-to move."
A 6-foot-9 center/forward from Deer Valley High School in Antioch, Calif., Lee gives the Wildcats another elite player in the nation's No. 1 class. Five of the 27 players who received a five-star rating nationally are slated to play for John Calipari.
The others are Texas point guard Andrew Harrison (ranked No. 3), his twin brother and shooting guard Aaron Harrison (4), Michigan swingman James Young (10) and Florida center Dakari Johnson (18).
Kentucky also signed in-state forward Derek Willis, a three-star prospect, in November.
The Cats are still in the mix for the nation's No. 1 prospect, Canadian product Andrew Wiggins of Huntington Prep in West Virginia, as well as Texas power forward Julius Randle (5) and California power forward Aaron Gordon (6).
