We had a chance to sit down with Ryan Howley, SW, 6-5, Sinagua High School class of 2008, and talk about the upcoming season, his college recruitment...

Cager Report: What were your stats from last season?
Howley: 18 pts.  8 rebs.


CR: What is your official height and weight?
Howley: 6'4"  180

CR: What is your greatest basketball memory?
Howley:Making first team all conference as a sophomore

CR: What are your goals for the upcoming season?
Howley: To win our Conference and hopefully qualify for the state tournament

CR: What aspect of your game have you really worked hard to improve? What area would you like to keep improving on?

Howley: My ball handling andshooting I would like to continue improvements on both.


CR: Who are some of your teammates that people need to watch out for?
Howley: Peter Clark (2009)

CR: Name one teammate you really respect and why?
Howley: Sam Kaserer good attitude and never gives up

CR: What are your goals regarding playing basketball in college?
Howley: Playing at a mid major maybe high major D-I

CR: Would you consider staying in state to play in college?
Howley: Yes


CR: What would your top 5 college choices be? Do you have any offers yet?
Howley: ASU, UC Irvine, Texas tech, SMU,  UC Riverside. Just interest no offers yet

CR: Who is the best player you ever played against? Why?
Howley: Zane Johnson he's tall and can handle the ball pretty well and also has an excellent shot


CR: Name one opponent who you really respect andwhy?
Howley: Brandon Lavender he is a great athlete and player making him a tough matchup

CR: What Club Basketball team do you player for in the Spring and Summer?
Howley:
Flagstaff Hoops, AZ magic

CR: How do you think your coach would describe you as a player?
Howley: Athletic and hard working

CR: What are your strengths and weaknesses as a player?
Howley: strengths would be athleticism, size and feel for the game my weakness is definitely my mental toughness

CR: What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
Howley: The sky is the limit with hard work


CR: Tell us what can we expect from your team this season?
Howley: A winning season

CR: What position do you think you will play in college?
Howley: Shooting Guard

CR: What can a college program expect from you as a player?
Howley: Hard worker that will work hard to improve, well disciplined


CR: What will the main factors be when you choose a school?
Howley: Location and academics of the school.
