Today we spotlight a 5-7 class of 2009, Nicole Coggins...

Nicole Coggins, 5-7  Soph G Tempe (Ariz.) Corona del Sol

Good young player who really has a great sense for the game and how it’s played.  Focused and intense, Coggins plays hard with a purpose!  Every decision or action is for a reason. Confident with the ball.  Great handle in transition and keeps her head up.  Solid left hand and can create scoring opportunities with her ability to read the defense.

One thing we would like to see is her confidence level rise in terms of becoming a scoring threat, which will come with experience.  An unselfish player, which is rare in this era of shoot-first guards.

A combo guard who can defend and pressure the full length of the floor.

Coggins has a bright future in basketball at the next level.  With continued development on her offensive game and strength, she will be one to watch over the next couple years.

A definite DI follow.
