Jay Trousdale, Poway High School girls head basketball coach for twenty years is about to reach a milestone in his illustrious career. 400 wins.

Last night Trousdale won his 399^th game when the Titans (14-3, 2-0) beat host Mount Carmel (13-6, 1-1), their cross-town rival, 62-51.

Trousdale has built one of the top programs in California as the Titan head coach winning seven league titles, four out of the last six years.

The Poway Titan's have reached the San Diego Division I C.I.F Championship game seven times (1992-93-94-95-96 and 2002 and 2003. Winning the crown in 1992, 1993 and 1995 with Trousdale at the helm.

In addition, Trousdale has produced over 20 players who have gone on to play college basketball.

Next week he is expected to reach the 400 win mark as the Titans take on Torrey Pines on Wednesday and Rancho Bernardo on Friday.
