Jay Trousdale has been the head coach for the Poway Titans for 20 years.  In that span he has average 20 wins a season.  On Tuesday, The Titan girls gave him his 400th career win in an overtime battle with Torrey Pines, 59-54.

The Titans' 10th consecutive win.

"The thing I've found myself doing the last few days is reflecting back on all the past teams and the girls who played on them,'' said Trousdale, 51. "This milestone is much more a player and team milestone. To do this in an excruciatingly tough league is what I'm really proud of. To average 20 wins a year in it is amazing.''

At 400-154, Trousdale ranks third in coaching victories in CIF San Diego Section history. Only Santana's Wade Vickery, who is 609-119 in 26 seasons, and Peggy Brose, who was 521-225 in 28 seasons at Mt. Carmel and Rancho Bernardo, have won more games among girls basketball coaches.

Poway is currently ranked #10 in San Diego County.
