The Northern Section semifinals are in the book and the finals are set in all five divisions. The Division I final will be fitting, the best two teams all year having been Pleasant Valley of Chico and Palo Cedro Foothill, and they'll meet again. Foothill won the regular season contest to win the league title and top seed, but Pleasant Valley will be seeking revenge and a much bigger prize. Foothill took out Enterprise, 38-9 while Pleasant Valley shutout Shasta, 21-0. Top-seed Sutter topped Yreka, 24-15 and will face #2 seed West Valley of Cottonwood, a 45-20 winner over Wheatland. Live Oak, the division's top seed, beat Willows 22-0 and faces Hamilton City, who beat Rio Vista, 21-18. Delta of Clarksburg, the top seeded team in D-IV, was upset by Modoc, 18-13 and faces #2 seed East Nicolaus who beat Esparto, 27-21 Top seeded Fall River of McArthur has a date with #2 Maxwell after beating Tulelake, 48-0. Maxwell advances, having beaten Hayfork 28-0.
