2007 GSP All-Northern California FB Team

Here is a look at the top players in NorCal as GoldenStatePreps.com presents the All-Northern California Football Team for 2007...

In its first year of existence, GoldenStatePreps.com has decided to do two separate teams for each part of the state, an all-Northern California team and an all-Southern California team (which only includes seniors). We'll also have a Super All-State Underclass team.

Here is a look at the All-Northern California Football Team for 2007:

Headling the All-NorCal team is our Player of the Year. And the Northern California Player of the Year was a pretty simple choice: Napa's John Boyett, who led Napa to the CIF-SacJoaquin Section title after a memorable senior season.

Boyett finished the season with 1,827 yards passing and 19 touchdowns while rushing for 1,527 yards and 20 touchdowns. He had 3,354 all-purpose yards and defensively made his mark with 81 tackles, three sacks and three picks.

Our Offensive Player of the Year is Nick Kalpin from Los Gatos. Kalpin's memorable senior campaign saw him rush for 2,553 yards and score 41 touchdowns. Portland State and Cal Poly lead for Kalpin.

The NorCal Defensive Player of the Year is Dewitt Stuckey from Stockton Lincoln. Stuckey, who will also play at Oregon, had 204 tackles, 8.5 sacks and 3.5 forced fumbles. Offensively, he had 74 carries for 514 yards and 14 touchdowns.
