Jrue Holiday, the 6-3 guard from North Hollywood (Calif.) Campbell Hall, has been named the Gatorade National Player of the Year.

Holiday is the second Golden State native to ever win the award, joining Baron Davis from Santa Monica Crossroads as Californian's to win. Davis won the award in 1997.

Last weekend, Holiday led Campbell Hall to the CIF State D-IV title, scoring 19 points in an 83-61 rout of St. Mary's. It was the third state title that Holiday won at Campbell Hall.

A selection to the McDonald's All-American Game, Holiday signed with hometown UCLA last fall.
