| At 6-4 and 255 pounds, Di Poalo plays the offensive tackle position with the athleticism of a defensive end. He is quick off the snap, uses his hands well, and maintains leverage in his blocks. He drive blocks and pass blocks equally well. A high motor tackle, Di Poalo easily gets to the second level, and it's common to see him following a play 40 yards down the field. | Giovanni Di Poalo is a two-year starter at Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure which has won consecutive CIF State D-III titles. Earned All-State Underclass Honors in 2008. Di Poalo says he can bench 315-pounds, squat 455 and claims a 33-inch vertical jump.
Di Poalo reports a 3.0 core GPA and is taking the SAT for the first time in May.
Di Poalo: “I have good speed for my size. I’m quick and like to hit. I know where the ball is going and just have a nose for it. I’m also a really good blocker and am very tenacious.
“But I’m working on getting back to playing how I did as a sophomore. I want to run downfield more and create some big hits.”
